Nine Shops, One HRM

Alexandra's Pizza has been part of the Halifax Regional Municipality since 1991, and the map has filled in steadily ever since. Nine shops now span HRM, from the Grafton Street downtown core to the coastal stretch of Highway 329 in Hubbards.

If you live, work, or commute anywhere across the peninsula, the Dartmouth side, or the outer ring, there's a shop on your route. Here's the neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood breakdown of every Alexandra's Pizza in the Halifax area, what each one is best for, and where to order from when the craving hits.

On the Halifax Peninsula

The peninsula is where it started, and three shops cover it end to end. Halifax Downtown on Grafton Street is the central, walk-in-and-grab-a-slice option, a block off Spring Garden, with dine-in seating and a patio for the warmer months. It's the shop most visitors find first, and the one downtown workers swing by on a lunch break.

Up the hill, Fairview on Titus Street handles the entire west-end peninsula and reaches into Lakeside, Beechville and Timberlea. It's a takeout-and-delivery shop, no dine-in, which keeps the kitchen quick. Across the south end, Spryfield on Herring Cove Road covers everything from Leiblin Park to Williams Lake and out toward Sambro, making it the easiest pickup for anyone south of Northwest Arm.

Across the Dartmouth Side

Three Dartmouth shops cover the Dartmouth side. Cole Harbour on Cole Harbour Road is the family-and-sports shop, dine-in, takeout and delivery, with the corridor from Forest Hills through Westphal on its delivery sheet.

Burnside / Highfield Park on Highfield Park Drive is the lunch and shift-worker pickup spot for the entire Burnside Business Park, plus the apartment communities along Highfield. And Woodside on Pleasant Street tucks into the harbour-facing end of Dartmouth, the easiest run for residents from Imperoyal up through the Woodside ferry terminal.

The Outer Ring: Sackville, Hammonds Plains, Hubbards

Three more shops handle the commuter belt outside the peninsula and Dartmouth. Sackville / Bedford on Sackville Drive covers Lower and Middle Sackville, parts of Bedford and the Bedford Highway corridor — it has dine-in seating, takeout and delivery.

Hammonds Plains / Tantallon on Hammonds Plains Road reaches the entire St. Margaret's Bay Road corridor and the subdivisions running out toward Upper Tantallon. Further out on the coast, Hubbards on Highway 329 is the South Shore commuter shop — dine-in and patio in season, takeout year-round, and the easiest stop if you're heading to or from cottage country.

Picking the Right Shop

Every Halifax-area shop runs the full Alexandra's pizza menu, the full lineup of donairs and donair wraps, and the garlic fingers, wings and Famous Poutine sides. So the question is rarely "what's on the menu" and almost always "which shop is on my route."

For a late-night slice, the Grafton Street downtown shop runs the longest weekend hours. For weeknight delivery, pick the shop closest to your address from our locations page — the app will do this automatically when you order, picking the right shop for your address and showing live pickup or delivery times.
