When Alexandra's Pizza crossed the Canso Causeway, the goal was simple: serve Cape Breton Island the exact same hand-tossed pizza, classic Halifax donair and real Quebec-curd poutine that Haligonians have ordered since 1991. No different menu. No island-only shortcuts. Same recipes, same dough made fresh in-house each morning.
Our Sydney shop on Charlotte Street is how we deliver on that, and it's the only Alexandra's on Cape Breton Island.
The Shop on Charlotte Street
228 Charlotte Street puts the shop right in the heart of downtown Sydney, a short walk from Centre 200, the boardwalk and the cruise terminal. Dine-in, takeout and delivery are all on the table, with hours that run late on weekends for the post-game, post-show and post-shift crowd.
Locals find us between work and home. Cruise visitors find us between the ship and the Big Fiddle. Either way, the order is usually the same: a Brother's Pepperoni or a Donair Pizza, garlic fingers on the side, a poutine to share.
