Pizza on Prince Edward Island: Alexandra's Pizza Charlottetown on Prince Street

Crossing the Confederation Bridge doesn't mean leaving great pizza behind. Alexandra's Pizza has had a home on Prince Edward Island for years, and our Charlottetown shop on Prince Street is the only spot on the Island where you can order the exact same hand-tossed pizza, classic Halifax donair and real Quebec-curd poutine served at every other Alexandra's across Atlantic Canada.

The Charlottetown shop sits at 165 Prince Street, a short walk from Confederation Centre of the Arts, Province House and the Charlottetown waterfront. Dine-in, takeout and delivery all run from the same kitchen, with extended weekend hours for the festival, theatre and concert crowds that fill the downtown core in season.

If you're walking off the cruise ship, leaving a show, or finishing a class at Holland College, Prince Street is a five-minute detour for a hot pizza and a side of garlic fingers.

Delivery from the Charlottetown shop reaches downtown, the streets around UPEI, Sherwood, Parkdale, and the residential pockets backing onto Victoria Park. Across the Hillsborough Bridge, we reach Stratford. West of the city, Cornwall is on the delivery map as well.

A classic pepperoni pizza is the everyday default, in 10", 12", 14" and 16" — note that the Brother's Pepperoni you'll find at our Nova Scotia shops isn't carried here, since we can't source it on the Island. The Donair Pizza is the specialty that converts Islanders the fastest — sweet Halifax sauce in place of tomato, spit-roasted donair meat, mozzarella, onion and tomato.

On the side, garlic fingers with donair sauce for dipping are the most-added item to any order, followed closely by fresh-never-frozen wings and a real Quebec-curd poutine.
